All equipment denoted with an "*" must be reserved AT LEAST 48 hours in advance.
Reservations must be completed in person at the ORC. To make a reservation, you will have to put a non-refundable deposit (deposit price varies based on the item) down at the time of reservation. The deposit does go towards the rental fee.

Boat Renters MUST have completed the SC Boater's Safety Course AND attend the ORC's Boat Orientation Course before any boats can be reserved/rented.**
(You do not need to complete a safety course for a kayak or canoe rental)

Boater's Orientation Class
All classes will be at 1100 at the ORC building (bldg 647)
There is a $7sign up fee. Sign up must be completed in person.
You MUST bring proof of a
South Carolina
boater's license the day of the class. Licenses from other states will not be accepted. The only exemption would be a Coast Guard approved Captain's license.
SCDNR boater's license, or the South Carolina Boater's Education Course Certification qualifies.
You can take this course on boatus.org for free.
**********PLEASE NOTE: this boater's orientation class is only for the ORC BOATS. To rent a boat at Short Stay, you must complete their orientation class and vice versa.**********
